Vulcan Bid for Eastbourne Airshow

The Vulcan, a cold war bomber, has been pencilled in for the FREE show this August and will join an exciting line up of military fast jets, old warbirds, helicopters and aerobatic teams.
It is anticipated that the recently restored aircraft will be ready this summer and Airbourne will be its first appearance at a seafront airshow in 15 years.
Eastbourne Borough Council Spokesperson for Tourism, Councillor David Elkin said "This is so exciting for Airbourne and shows why we're now the biggest seafront airshow in the World. This awesome aircraft really is a sight to see and its distinctive rumble is something that cannot be matched by any aircraft today.
Even before its retirement in 1992 this aircraft achieved as much notoriety as the Red Arrows and is still the talk of the airshow circuit even now - I am delighted they have chosen Eastbourne crowds to witness this amazing spectacle."

The only operational Vulcan in existence, the aircraft has spent the last seven years undergoing an extensive restoration programme, aiming to bring it back to full working order for airshow fans to see.
